Steinn is a charming gelding who loves to have his person nearby. He has beautiful, steady gaits and is well-trained. He is familiar with various terrains and lakes, and has worked with different riders, although he tends to do best with experienced, calm riders.

He is incredibly gentle—both in nature and character. He stands approximately 133 cm (13.1 hh), but has no issues with taller riders; a friend of 175 cm even jumped him. Steinn is highly sensitive to human emotions and can become tense if his rider is nervous or overly expressive.

He responds excellently to leg aids and is a pleasure to ride both with contact and bitless. He has already participated in amateur TREC competitions and 20-kilometer endurance rides. Within the herd, he tends to hold a higher position. He is practically desensitized to most stimuli, although he does not like water from a hose.
