Oakley is a gorgeous, sweet, perfectly put together draft cross gelding standing the perfect 16 hands. He is the prime age of 6 years old with enough miles under his belt to be ready for anyone and young enough to have lots of years ahead. He rides both English and Western and is as safe and gentle as they get. Oakley has the most incredible mind that is willing, eager and very laid back. He only knows how to be kind, respectful and enjoyable.
Oakley has been trail ridden and ridden out on our ranch. He loves water and will cross anything. Oakley is sure footed and confident. He rides with a great attitude and perky ears. He can go all day or for just a short and sweet ride. He has no problem going out alone or can lead or follow in a pack as well. He is not a spooky or reactive horse and is safe for all levels to take out.
Oakley has been started under English tack and has popped over a few fences as well. He truly will figure out anything you ask of him and learns very easily. He has the start to some fancy collection and could easily make a pretty elegant show horse or fox hunter.
Oakley is user friendly and easy to ride. He has an incredible jog and will only go the pace asked of him. He will ride in a simple snaffle or a smaller bit. He moves off leg, has a decent neck rein, can open/shut gates, and will stand for the mounting block. We have lightly started roping off of him and he has been used to gather cattle.
Oakley is 100% safe and gentle always. He has never offered anything silly or given us any type of attitude. Ever. He has good ground manners, is great for the farrier, stands tied all day, hauls quietly, and pastures well with others. He’s truly just a joy to have all the way around. I cannot say enough good things about him.
Oakley is sound, straight and clean legged. He is barefoot with beautiful hooves. He sells with a current PPE (see photos for documentation).
