Roman is a 5 year old, 15.3 hand draft cross gelding. 1/2 paint and 1/2 Belgian. He has a gorgeous head, big kind eyes and a huge heart. He has that Belgian heart for sure where he gives you everything he has and never says no. I don’t think any other breed of draft has the heart of a Belgian but he surely has it. This gelding is honest, willing, a beautiful mover, athletic and up for absolutely anything you throw at him even if it’s crazy! Rides English and western and does both disciplines VERY well. He’s really a horse that will excel in anything. In western tack he has a true two finger neck rein, turns of him haunches, moves off leg beautifully, has a jog you can sit to all day long and side passes both directions like a pro. In English tack he frames up, has a beautiful floaty trot, collects beautifully, catches his leads every single time and this gelding has the knack to jump. You show him something once and he’ll have you convinced he has been doing it his whole life. Point and shoot at the jump and he’ll get it done. We have only jumped cross rails but you can definitely go bigger if that’s the route you want to take. I think Roman would make a phenomenal fox hunter. In the arena he goes around just as one should with zero effort or work involved. He knows what he’s suppose to do and just does it. Out on the trails he is bombproof and is happy with his ears forward and licking his lips. He is completely road and traffic safe and rides out alone with zero issues. He’s confident and secure with himself so no he does not need the confidence of another horse. If you want to go with another horse he doesn’t care and he will lead or follow and he won’t fall in love so if you ride away from one another you won’t have a handful on your hands. This gelding is the same horse everytime you swing your leg over and he might even get better but I don’t know if that’s even possible because he’s so good to begin with. Best part of all he’s fun and educated enough for a really good rider but safe enough for someone that really doesn’t know what they’re doing. He’ll pack the beginners around and he’ll also take care of a child under saddle and on the ground. His ground manners are absolutely impeccable and he has a very sweet, in your pocket personality. He is great for everything and has zero vices or flaws. This is one of the best draft crosses I’ve seen in a very long time. He’s also a great size not being huge but he is a great weight carrier. This horse has great feet and bone. A very easy keeper and requires no maintenance or supplements. Lives off western alfalfa hay and looks amazing. Happily lives inside or out and has the best pasture and stall manners. There’s nothing not to love here and if you don’t love him you don’t deserve him so we are happy to guarantee his kind in every way because this kind is far and few in between. Can’t tell you the next time another quite like him will come along so don’t overlook him thinking there will be another if this is the kind you’re looking for. I have a TON of video footage because he’s a horse you can just take video after video of because he’s so good and so easy. He also is good at everything so it makes it so easy and pleasureable. If you’re looking for one to challenge or test you this isn’t the horse for you but if you want one that you want to ride everyday and can’t wait to get to the barn to see and ride this horse is for you. 100% sound, nice hooves and not a hair out of place.
