Wellington is a classy and elegant draft cross gelding standing 16.1 hands. He is a true all-around gelding that has been roped off of, trail ridden, driven, and is started over fences. He is an incredible mover with a willing and trainable mind that has the potential to excel in the show ring, out on the ranch, or driving down the roads.
Wellington is extremely soft and responsive. He has natural collection, beautiful upward and downward transitions, and an excellent stop. He has the smoothest gaits that feel like you are floating. He lopes off with a simple kiss. He moves off leg easily, can be ridden in a simple snaffle or in a bridle, and has a decent neck rein. He has a curious demeanor about him and loves to learn.
Wellington is lightly started over fences and shows a lot of potential. He is calm and quiet and has all the try you could ask for. He has a lead change started and has never refused. He has been schooled over 2 feet with scope for more.
Wellington has been roped off of and used to work cattle. He can open and shut gates, work a rope, and drag absolutely anything. We have taken him to the ranch and ridden him out on the trails. He will go anywhere and cross anything. He loves water and will play in it for hours.
Wellington is broke to the mounting block and will stand quietly to be mounted. He is easy to catch, pastures well with others, stalls quietly, hauls well, and is excellent for the farrier. He is currently barefoot with great, solid hooves and is sound. He sells with a current, clean PPE (see photos for documentation).
