Poncho is a crossbred pony gelding standing 14.1 hands tall and STOUT made. I know I say I have a lot of favorites but Poncho is such a COOL dude. In the arena, down the trail, through town- he is safe, smooth, and sane! He is stands tied, tacks up easy, stands to be mounted, loads well! 100% sound and no vices! Out on the trail Poncho is sure footed and quietly crosses anything you put in his path. He does not spook at wildlife, takes his time up and down steep hills, and if you’re feeling a little adventurous he will jump over logs- or just ask him to walk quietly and steps over them nice and easy. Poncho is in no rush and throughly enjoys going out for leisure rides. We have done all sorts of silly things with this guy- from party balloons, tarps, flags he is solid in every situation we have thrown at him. Poncho is also incredibly smooth! He has a trot and lope that is easy to sit- he will have you looking like a seasoned rider with how easy he is to ride! Before coming to us Poncho was used on a feedlot doctoring calves and sorting pairs- we aren’t big cattle people and like to just enjoy the trail riding life but he could very easily go back to work if someone wanted to!
