Bambi is a 6yr old, 16hh draft-cross mare that will be the gentlest soul you could ever want. This gal is big, stout, and absolutely stunning and has the kindest, sweetest personality you could ask for with such a solid foundation. She is built correct with perfect confirmation, surefooted as any, and most of all will be SAFE for nearly anyone. This mare has been a personal favorite for myself and my husband. She has been a solid go-to when any sort of ranchwork needs done, if the weather is tough, or if you just need an easy mount to go out and enjoy a peaceful evening on. For a draft-cross, Bambi rides like a 14.3h horse. She is smooth, has perfect transitions, and a nice trot with an even better lope that feels like you’re floating on a cloud. This gal has plenty of real life experience- from ranch work, camping trips, to even some light English use. With that be said, a favorite of mine is how easily Bambi adapts to new situations. No matter what you ask of her she always does it with a very mature attitude, and takes to it nice and slow- never rushing the process of learning something new. Without hesitation she will safely cross deep water, logs, and sketchy terrain. She isn’t afraid of wildlife, dogs, cattle, or loud farm machinery that always seems to be roaring around our place. She is confident with only the company of her rider, so riding out alone is a breeze. She will also side pass over to her rider for easy mounting whether you’re on a mounting block, trailer fender, or whatever you can find that works for you. Bambi loves a bath, is good for the farrier, and tacks up with ease. She loads in and out of a trailer like a pro, and stands tied quietly no matter what. I truly feel Bambi would make an excellent family style horse. Aside from her gentle demeanor, she has the brains and level of capability to excel in anything she does- keep her working cattle out on the ranch, take her into an English setting, or make her one fancy trail horse. With no hesitation she can handle a long days work out in the open and she will stay fluent and confident- she is the definition of dependable, she will never give up on you or let you down. However, she doesn’t require a long days work, you can go tack her and head out for a couple hours and she will always be the same horse. Bambi does good turned out or stalled. She is a very easy keeper and requires ZERO maintenance. Overall this is true once in a lifetime horse that is GENTLE, and stays gentle. I feel confident anyone would love and enjoy her as much as we have!
