Lakota is an 8 year old Registered Gypsy Bay Gelding. With “Blarney Stone's Coco“ as the Dam and “Chewbacca of MVP” as the Sire.
As an 8 year old he has a lot of experience.
He stands tied alone or with other horses. He stands for the farrier. Stands well to be brushed and saddled. He loves his bathes and water as well as standing very still for braiding his mane and tail. He loads well and backs out of a trailer. He is a very easy keeper!
Lakota is very confident under saddle. He rides out and is very forward and light with cues. He side-passes, backs very well, collects nicely, leg yields both directions, opens gates well, trots/lopes over logs, and walks over bridges nicely. You can swing/throw a rope off of him and he is unbothered. Drag logs off of him.
He walk, trots and lopes off very easily. He definitely wants to please his rider and is an easy smooth horse to ride. He does AMAZING on trail rides! He stays on the trail and has a very consistent easy walk or trot on trail. He is not one to get away from you. Plenty of beginners - experienced people can ride him in the arena or out on the trails! You can ride him in the front, middle or the back. Lakota also does great riding out SOLO! He is not buddy sour and is very easy to ride out on the trails by himself.
