This gelding is sure to catch everyone’s attention any where he goes. Captain’s long flaxen mane, forelock, tail and feathers really pop out agains his red coat with roaning on his face and body. And his big kind eyes perfectly match his fun loving and quiet demeanor. He’s not only stunning to look at, he’s so easy and enjoyable to be around.
Captain spent the last year or so being enjoyed out on a ranch riding fence lines and checking cattle. He has now just completed about 3 months professional training in the arena including lots of trail and road miles both under saddle and in harness. In the arena he rides level headed, soft in the face, and has a solid foundation in all the basic arena work and is ready for someone to take in any direction and finish as you wish. He is very easy to ride both in the arena or out on the trails, open fields or down the roads whether alone or in a group. He is traffic safe and great in new environments. He is just as solid in the harness as he is under saddle.
In the barn Captain is a joy to have. He has great manners, ties or cross ties for hours patiently, bathes, and stands for horse of brushing and braiding. He even keeps a very tidy stall. Gets along great with other horses, and is never fuss. He doesn’t require any maintenance at all and is a very easy keeper. Always been 100% sound and healthy in every way.
Captain is a purebred Gypsy and is registered, however his papers have been lost. Not sure if someone could obtain his GVHS papers through that registry somehow, but he could also be registered through other registries as well and we would be happy to assist with that in any way we can.
