Buckskin Pferde haben überlieferter Massen eine Menge überragender Qualitäten und Stärken, von denen man annimmt, dass sie auf ihr genetisches Erbe zu spanischen Sorraia Pferdelinien um die 1500 zurückgehen. Buckskin Pferde sind als "harte Arbeiter" bekannt.
