𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄’𝐒 𝐄𝐘𝐄-𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆… 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄’𝐒 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐎𝐊𝐄𝐄! ✨
They say you can’t ride pretty… well, Cherokee might just make you change your mind! This flashy little guy is the kind of pony that makes people stop what they’re doing, take a second look, and ask, “Where did you find HIM?!” 🤩
Cherokee is one of those rare ponies who has the looks, the personality, AND the ride to back it all up. He is fancy enough to steal the spotlight, but broke enough to be a true pleasure to sit on. He rides around like a big horse and has the kind of comfortable, willing way of going that makes you forget you’re sitting on a pony!
Under saddle, Cherokee will walk, jog, lope, stop on whoa, and is soft and responsive in his face and sides. He picks up both leads, lopes out of his tracks, knows what circles are , and will happily work the rail. He has a smooth, willing way of going and is always ready to go to work.
And Cherokee isn’t just an arena pony! He has been used throughout the week to check fence and gather cow-calf pairs, so he knows what a real workday looks like. He can out-trot the big horses, cover some country, and keep going when there’s a job to get done. Cherokee is the true definition of a “blue collar “ kinda guy!
But perhaps our favorite thing about Cherokee is his personality! ❤️ This is the pony who will meet you at the gate just because he wants to see what you’re up to. No bucket tricks, no chasing him around, and no games required—just walk out there and catch your buddy!
He is happy living stalled or turned out, stands quietly to be saddled, is good for the farrier, loads and unloads with ease, and is easy to have around. He’s the kind of pony that quickly becomes part of the family.
Cherokee was purchased directly from the gentleman who bred and raised him, and we’ve had the privilege of continuing his education and finishing him out. He has been loved his entire life, and it shows in his demeanor and confidence. He’s been finished out by a handy youth and we believe he could go very far in the right program, he’s got it all going for him!
Everyone who meets Cherokee seems to say the same thing—“WOW, he’s pretty!” Then they get to know him and realize the best part isn’t even his looks… it’s the sweet, silly, willing personality underneath them.
