Ouarzazate du Genet ist ein gekörter Hengst der Großeselrasse Baudet du Poitou und deckt nur Großeselstuten, keine Pferdestuten. Der Deckakt bei unseren Großeseln vollzieht folgendermaßen: Der Hengst trägt einen Maulkorb beim Erstkontakt mit der rossigen Stute auf der Weide, dem Hengstrevier. Nach dem ersten Deckakt wird der Maulkorb entfernt und die Beiden leben gemeinsam, bis sich die nächste Rosse einstellen würde, wenn die Stute nicht tragend geworden wäre. Ist sie wieder rossig, kommt es zur nächsten Bedeckung. Die Weidegebühr für die Stute beträgt 5 € pro Tag. Eine dritte Bedeckung ist hoffnungslos, dann wird aus dieser Verbindung kein Fohlen entstehen.
