Meet Rhythmic Chip “Bucky,” a 2017 bay gelding who has been a cornerstone of our program since he was a yearling. Bucky started his career trail-riding all over Indiana before entering our lesson and 4-H/Open Show program as a 4-year-old, where he has been successfully shown every year since. He has earned multiple wins across Western and English events and represented at State in both disciplines. Most recently, he competed in Ranch classes at the 2025 NOSHA Worlds, placing multiple times in the Top 5.
Bucky is the definition of a well-rounded, all-around gelding. He confidently performs walk, trot, extended trot, and lope; stops, backs, spins, and side passes; and maneuvers over logs, drags logs, and ropes the dummy.
Bucky is stalled in the evenings and turned out during the day with nine other horses. He’s easy to catch—we routinely send small kids to bring him in from the pasture. He is best suited for an intermediate rider or for a rider working within a consistent training program where he has a job and stays engaged.
Bucky would be an outstanding addition to a Western/ranch show program, a 4-H/Open Show home, or for someone wanting a versatile, broke, and proven partner. He is completely sound and up to date on vaccinations, farrier care (front shoes), and had his teeth floated this spring.
Bucky is ready for his next home and next chapter—one where he’ll undoubtedly continue to shine.
