Maverick is a 6-year-old half Quarter Horse, half Clydesdale gelding standing a solid 15 hands tall, built with the perfect blend of athletic ability and eye-catching presence. He’s the kind that turns heads wherever he goes, with enough bone and substance to handle a day’s work yet stays soft and smooth to ride.
This gelding is as versatile as they come. Maverick rides both Western and English with ease and is also broke to drive, making him a true all-around partner. He’s been used daily to check cattle and knows what a job is, but he’s just as happy hitting the trail. With an extensive amount of outside miles, he’s seen all kinds of country and takes it in stride—crossing water, navigating rough terrain, and staying steady in new environments.
In the arena, Maverick is broke and user-friendly. He lopes nice, collected circles both ways, moves off your leg, and side passes with ease. He’ll also walk up and handle gates like a seasoned ranch horse, opening and closing them quietly and correctly.
Maverick has a great mind and an even better personality. He’s willing, kind, and aims to please, making him enjoyable for a wide range of riders. Whether you’re looking for something to enjoy on the trails, a dependable ranch partner, or a prospect to take into the English world, he has the foundation and ability to go in any direction you choose.
