Trail Western Safe Paint Horse Gelding

Meet Frisco he’s a 6yr old Paint Gelding standing at 15 hands tall. He is nice and stout so he can carry a heavier rider. He is just an awesome trail partner to have. He’s very smooth under saddle and has the right mindset you can’t go wrong with him.

He rides right between your legs so moves off of leg pressure really good. He knows how to move his shoulders, hindquarters, and side passes. He will direct or neck rein. Stops off of your seat or just say whoa he knows the word. He also will do flying lead changes and picks up the correct leads. He has a VERY smooth trot that’s easy to sit or post too. And his canter is also VERY smooth.

The one thing I absolutely love about him is that he stands stock still to get on. Even if you don’t ride him for awhile he will always stand very still for mounting. He has good ground manners, hauls good, and loads right up in the trailer and backs right out.

He is amazing out on the trails. Nothing phases this guy he is NOT easily spooked. He will cross any kind of water creeks, rivers, etc. Crosses little wooden bridges and logs. He goes anywhere you point him. I feel like I’m riding an older been there done that type of horse when I’m riding him. And that’s because he has had a ton of experience under his belt already at 6yrs old so he is a been there done that type of horse.

He is fine with traffic. I’ve had big trucks and busses go by and he never cares. Again he is NOT spooky. He will leave home alone and will separate away from the other horses out on the trail. He will also pony another horse.

He is sure footed and will tackle a steep bank like it’s no problem. He’s fine with wildlife out on the trails. And he’s used to riding with a dog that loves to constantly lag behind then come charging up full speed behind Frisco. Frisco is also handy for brush popping. You just point him towards a brushy area he sets his head down and plows right through with branches coming back and smacking him in the hind end.

He has NEVER offered to do anything bad or crazy. He has NO bad habits or vices. If you let him sit a few weeks you can just grab him out of pasture slap a saddle on and head out down the road he’s a very safe mount what you see is what you get with him. And he just exudes confidence out on the trails.

He gets along out in the pasture low to middle of the pecking order. He is an easy keeper. He is good for getting his feet trimmed. Stands good for tacking. I would say he’s a husband/wife safe horse. He has been ridden by teens all the way up to Grandmas. If you know how to ride, you’ll get along just fine with Frisco and you’re going to appreciate how steady he is. He’s a horse that takes care of his rider.
