Here is a horse that would walk through fire if you asked her too. Katniss has a heart of gold and is always aiming to please. This mare is not only a beauty to look at, but she also has the heart and brains making her the full package. Katniss has packed a wide variety of riders. Her youngest being a 6yo little boy. The kiddos have done 4h and gymkhanas on her as well as obstacle courses. She has won many ribbons and is always a team player. Katniss is calm and forgiving with beginners making her a great candidate for newbies in the horse world. Katniss has been ridden through town and handles the city sights with ease. We have packed a flag on her in the arena as well as a parachute. Katniss is part fish and loves to swim in the pond. Katniss rides well in the arena. She walks, trots, and lopes nice circles each direction. She has a nice stop on her and collects to back. She will side pass and open/close gates. Katniss is a trail WARRIOR! She will ride out alone or in a group with no issues. She is not barn or buddy sour. Katniss will go up, over. or though anything you ask her to. We even loaded her on the flatbed trailer! She is sure footed up and down hills. Wildlife does not phase her. Katniss has helped gather cattle and longhorn, she is pretty cowy and seems to enjoy sorting them! Overall, this mare is a very easy keeper. She is quite and gets along with other mares and geldings. She is not a naughty mare when in heat. She is honestly a gelding in a mare's body.
