Here's a gorgeous sooty buckskin, quarter horse gelding that is very well broke inside the arena or outside on the trails, Cactus will go out by himself or with other horses, he's also fine with leading the group or following, the best thing about Cactus he always stays gentle even with time off and he is the perfect age of 8 yrs. old and built to carry any weight rider as he's built stocky and is solid on his feet.
Cactus is also handy broke with a true one hand neck rein and sidepass, a super smooth walk-trot-canter and big stop yet he is not complicated to ride at all. He has taken beginners and children out on the trails, through the creeks and ditches, over logs and will take care of his rider. Cactus has also been ridden at state parks on trail rides. He trailers and hauls with absolutely no problem. He is solid on the trails and not spooky which has earned him a barn favorite around here.
You can also get on him in the pasture and ride him to the barn bareback with just the halter and lead rope.
Cactus also loves attention and will let the children brush and curry him as well as give a bath. He will follow our children around and is very careful not to hurt them. He also stands to be tacked up and to mount. We've also ridden him bridleless that's how gentle he is.
We have also used him to check pasture and fences as well. You can throw a rope off him and drag as well, we've also exposed him to the bullwhip and bounce ball and he is not bothered by any of it. We've also ridden him on the main highway and he pays no attention to the traffic. He is the real deal and sells 100% sound.
Cactus is up to date on farrier and dewormer, dental and has a current Coggins. He is also current on shots.
