Families looking for their step up from that old campaigner horse, take a look! Gizmo is as kind natured as he is easy on the eyes. Standing 15 hands and draped in shiny red dun color, he is hard to miss in a lineup.
Whether you are after a young mount to enjoy on the trails, or after a true arena prospect, Gizmo is the one you whole keep an eye on. He has logged many miles on the ranch from gathering pastures, dragging calves at branding, or watching the sun peek over the hills at daylight, Gizmo is the gelding you want to be mounted on.
We have started him behind the help-o-matic and he is really starting to pit things together and should be an easy one to take right to the box in the roping pen. We feel he would excel as a switch ender with how laid back he is abut everything. He has tracked the slow steer some as well but hasn’t been out of a box after them yet. Gizmo would be a great starter horse for a younger or novice roper who wants to build one of their own and know they have a safe, solid horse to start with.
On the trails Gizmo is confident and relaxed to ride. He takes everything in stride and if he sees anything a bit suspect, he will stop, make sure it isn’t going to remove any of this appendages, then go on about his day. He truly is the kind you can grab off pasture, fresh as a daisy, step on and ride off with.
He has a very nice ground covering walk that you don’t have to peddle every step of the way. His trot and lope are both smooth and an enjoyable to ride in any terrain. Gizmo is that gelding who would climb into your back pocket if you’d let him, but is VERY mannerly! He just truly enjoys the company of his people to his penmates.
He is sound, sturdy, and safe! We have had several younger kids on him and he took them best care of them! We recommend him for anyone who is ready to hop off that old faithful and move up a step to a little more horse without sacrificing safety. He is easy to pilot and light in the bridle and honestly just a fun ride!
Regardless of the discipline you are hoping to continue on with, Gizmo is the kind of horse you will want to have in your barn, simply because he is SO versatile.
