Winnie the Pooh, aka “Popcorn,” has passed all the kid-safe tests… and then some!
We’ve always called him Popcorn, but Paisley officially overruled us last month and renamed him Winnie the Pooh. So now, Popcorn is officially just his nickname—according to Paisley. The verdict is final. No appeals. She definitely won this one!
Names aside, Winnie the Pooh is the kind of pony every rider dreams of. Despite his young age (coming 4 years old) in 2026, he has been exposed to more experiences than many senior ponies see in a lifetime. With the perfect size and build for both children and adults, he is an incredibly versatile, confidence-building partner.
He has been ridden by the tiniest children and remains completely unflappable—absolutely zero spook and as safe as they come. From being fully covered in a shaking tarp, to jumping (both cross country and in the arena) to even jumping into the back of a Pick Up truck, Winnie The Poo takes everything in stride. He rides confidently down the road, teaches lessons, drives quietly in a carriage, and has even come into our house. We regularly ride him through town, and he has even gone shopping inside farm supply stores with us. There truly isn’t much this superstar pony hasn’t seen or done. Heck, even the dog has ridden him! The only thing he cant do is drive the Truck Himself!
Winnie The Poo has some of the best ground manners you will find. He is kind, personable, and extremely respectful of personal space. He loves attention and being doted on by children, making him the ultimate babysitter and nanny pony. He has been ridden bareback in just a halter—or even only a neck rope—by many children, consistently taking excellent care of his riders.
Paisley our smallest rider( 8 years old), loves riding this sweet pony and confidently trots him all around the farm. She is able to catch him from the field, tack up, and ride him entirely on her own without assistance, which speaks volumes about his reliability and temperament.
Winnie The Poo has the kindest eyes and the sweetest soul. He is the type of pony you can trust without hesitation. If you are looking for a pony that will happily and safely pack your kids around in any setting, this is your boy. Simply put, this is the kind of pony we trust our own children on—no matter the situation.
