Josie is a 6 year old buckskin mare, standing 14.3 hands.
Josie has mainly been used for trail riding the past few years. She belongs to my father who is in his late 60’s and he has trail ridden her all over NC. She is easy to get along with in the barn. She stands to be bathed, groomed and easy to shoe. She is quiet in the stall and is also great turned out.
She crosses water, logs and various terrain. Out on the trail she is not spooky. Josie does have an extended walk. She prefers to be out in front of a group. She lopes circles both directions and takes the correct lead. She backs up and has an easy turn around.
Josie has also been used this spring to doctor, sort and drag calves. She is very confident roping out in the pasture.
Josie is the same everyday. She has absolutely no buck. No matter if you ride once a year or once a month.
She would be a great mare for someone wanting a horse to take on long weekend rides.
