Swig is a beautiful 7 year old quarter horse gelding! If your looking for a nice well rounded gelding that is built to last look no further! Swig is sure footed, with solid clean legs. This gelding will cover trails and is as solid as one comes with being exposed to all rocky terrain, steep mountains and city trails! He has been ridden all over the City of Norco, with barking dogs, heavy street traffic, trash bags, motorcycles etc!
He has taken care of beginners on the trails and in the arena! Swig is a smooth ride and rides easy in the arena. He catches both leads, rides with a level head and has a smooth trot. Swig moves off the leg, side passes, opens and closes gates and will ride one handed with a neck rein or you can direct rein him!
Swig has been roped off of plenty of times on the ranch, has dragged calves to the fire and has gathered. Swig is cowy and does well in the cow sorting ring! Swig has roped a handful of live cattle in the arena. Swig not only is well rounded in the western discipline but he also will ride English and is a beautiful mover! He has been over cross rails and can go further on with his jumping career!
Swig would excel in any discipline, he loves to work, easy to get along with and he goes with the flow! Swig sells 100% sound. He has no scars, lumps, or bumps and has never coliced. Swig is easy to catch, tie, saddle and groom. He has a puppy dog personality and loves affection from humans!
